Shanghai authorities have entered "preliminary talks" with Taylor Swift's team, according to Chinese news outlet The Paper爱上海同城对对碰. One official revealed that the "Love Story" singer may potentially perform in Shanghai.上海品茶网

Zhang Qi, Shanghai's Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism Deputy Director, confirmed that a discussion was reached with Swift's team.上海新茶网

"As for whether it can take place in the end, we feel that it will have to depend on the market and the attractiveness of the city of Shanghai. But we are optimistic that they may be hope this year," he said, according to Reuters.

An official comment from Swift's publicist has yet to be received.
