National Stock Exchange (NSE) has listed Stock Market Holidays for the Calender Year 2024 in India. These holidays are according to different segments of the Stock Market in India. It includes Equity, Derivatives, SLB, Commodity Derivatives Segment, etc. In blog covers the list of stock market holidays in India as per NSE in these segments for the calender year 2024.

Trading on the equities segment occurs on all days of the week, except for Saturdays, Sundays, and pre-declared holidays by the Exchange. The market timings for the equities segment are as follows:Mumbai Investment

A) Pre-Open Session:

– Order entry & modification Open: 09:00 hrs

– Order entry & modification Close: 09:08 hrs* (*with random closure at the last minute)

– Pre-open order matching starts immediately after the close of pre-open order entry.Jaipur Wealth Management

B) Regular Trading Session:Chennai Stock

– Normal / Limited Physical Market Open: 09:15 hrs

– Normal / Limited Physical Market Close: 15:30 hrs

C) Closing Session:

– The Closing Session is held between 15:40 hrs and 16:00 hrs

D) Block Deal Session Timings:

– Morning Window: 08:45 AM to 09:00 AMGuoabong Wealth Management

– Afternoon Window: 02:05 PM to 2:20 PM

Please note:

The Exchange may close the market on days other than the scheduled holidays or may open the market on days originally declared as holidays. The Exchange may also extend, advance, or reduce trading hours as deemed fit and necessary.

Muhurat Trading shall be held on November 01, 2024 (Diwali – Laxmi Pujan). Timings of Muhurat Trading shall be notified subsequently.

The Exchange may alter/change any of the above holidays, for which a separate circular shall be issued in advance.

The Calender Year 2024 refers to the period from January 2024 to December 2024.
